Terms of Service

doudizhu.cards is a free card game run by one person for people who love Dou Dizhu. These terms are short on purpose — please actually read them. By creating an account (or claiming a username), you agree to them.
1. Play nice
- No slurs, hate speech, or harassment — in usernames, chat, or anywhere else. We filter for this and we delete accounts that try to get around the filter, including their stats and history, without warning.
- No impersonating other players, no cheating, no bots or scripts playing on your behalf, no attacking or abusing the service.
- Registered usernames are protected — you can't sit down at a table under someone else's registered name.
2. It's play money
The dollars in this game are imaginary. They cannot be bought, sold, cashed out, or transferred, and nothing here is gambling. Leaderboards exist for bragging rights only.
3. Your account
- You need a username and a PIN (or a linked sign-in provider such as Google, where available). Keep your PIN to yourself — anyone with it can play as you.
- Guests can play without an account, but guest games aren't saved and don't appear on leaderboards.
- Your username, avatar, and game statistics (wins, losses, winnings, badges) are public — that's what leaderboards are.
- Want your account gone? Email matthew.r.richter@gmail.com from the address on your account (or with enough detail to prove it's yours) and it will be deleted.
4. Email and texts
If you give us an email address and opt in, we'll occasionally email you about game updates and to ask for feedback — no spam, no selling your address, and you can opt out any time by replying or emailing us. Rally texts (SMS) are separate and only sent if you add a phone number and switch them on yourself. Details in the privacy policy.
5. The service, honestly
- The game is provided as-is, free, with no warranty. It may go down, lose a round to a bug, or change at any time.
- We can update the game, the rules of the house variant, and these terms. If the terms change in a way that matters, we'll say so on the site.
- We can suspend or delete accounts that break these terms.
6. Legal bits
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, USA. If some part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. Questions: matthew.r.richter@gmail.com.
